First, download Ventrilo (current client version)

1. After opening Ventrilo, click the top right pointing arrow "->"

2. Then click "new"

3. Input your name. (This is the name that everyone will see, but please try to keep it as close to your ingame/forums name as possible for identification purposes.) When you are done, click "OK"


4. Input your phonetic name. (This is what people in vent will here when you enter or leave the room, so please keep it short so it's not a major distraction.) When you are done, click "OK"


5. Click the second right pointing arrow "->" (in the "Server" column).

6. Click "New"

7. Input something to identify this Ventrilo server from any others you may have or eventually get.

8. Click "OK"


9. Enter the IP address: la2.ugt-servers.com

10. Enter the Port number: 32908

11. Input the password that you obtained. (Remember the password is case sensitive, so enter it exactly as it was given.)

12. Click "OK"

13. Click "Connect"

14. Once connected, click "Setup" to set up your Vent options.


15. Check the "Use Push-To-Talk Hotkey"

16. Click in the "Hotkey" box and push the button you want to use for your Push-To-Talk. (Some suggest using the "mouse 3" scroll wheel button.)

17. If you'd like to make it so that you don't hear a little buzz sound when you press your Push-To-Talk Hotkey, uncheck "Play Key Clicks."

18. Once you're all setup, you may want to adjust your Inbound or Outbound sound.


19. Click connect and start chatting. If you need anymore help, ask a Vent Admin for assistance.
